Target Online is preferred purchase site as previous Vax steam mop and Philips vacuum cleaner are enjoyed. However, no replacement bags available for VX40...I have to go to Harvey Norman to get those and if I have to go there why not buy the same thing as the price there is the same? Can I use it dry without needing bags, who knows? Instructions insufficient. And, whilst the money was removed immediately from bank, no confirmation email or proof of receipt received for 24hrs. Take a screen shot of transaction and print it out for peace of mind before leaving transaction window.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Basic and Lightweight Got this a second vacuum for cleaning cars and garage and wet spills. Very happy with it as it does everything my upright Dyson can't. The plastic hose and pipes are very lightweight and easy to change the length of, making it easy to vacuum cobwebs from ceilings and fans or crumbs off the couches or bugs from window tracks really easily. The Dyson is too heavy for my 9 year old to use easily but she is now happy to vacuum her own room with the vax! Miracles do happen. Still love the Dyson for the little bit of carpet we have due to its superior suction but this Vax is great for what I want. It also has a longer power cord than most and can blow as well so I can use it to blow leaves from the patio as well.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Sucks up water then makes loud sound Of $99 was on sale for $79 purchase it online they sent thro a $10 voucher of purchase so $69 vacuum,, everyone but hurt that there $70. Vacuum doesn't pick up the mess as good as there previous $500 vacuum? For the price it sucks blows and makes a loud soothing sound when the vacuum is full of water/nutrients from my tomato room ,, I have yet to try the blower but I rekn it will blow I don't think it will blow all the leaves out of tomato room as good as a $400 air compressor but then again I was under the impression that wen I sucked.up liquid I could blow it out all over the garden like an elephant trunk would but $79 compared to $200000 for a baby elephant on eBay I wasn't to disappointed

For the price paid, it's a great little vacuum cleaner and my dog who is scared of our dyson doesn't seem to mind this little unit.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Excellent Vacuumn Cleaner - Strongly recommended This product is working very well, it is so value for money, I bought 2 for our work place and bought another 2 because it is extremely good, I do not know how long it will last but even if it will only last for a year or less, it is still worth, it vacuum everything (oil liquid, dust, dirt) so powerful, and not too big tank that allow one person to empty the tank easily (not like heavy duty big vacuum that so heavy & required two person which end up no staff want to clean the place. I love this product , may purchase again.

Rated 2 out of 5 by from Not Like The Old Vax This machine performs well but has some poor design. 1. The vacuum head is very flimsy and near useless on carpet. It is OK on hard floors. 2. The disposable paper dust bags are around $3 each online and cannot hold a great deal as the HEPA filter takes up so much of the 20 ltr bin space. 3. The HEPA filter is very large and I would guess expensive to replace. So we use our old VAX cleaning heads and this machine works well. The power cord is long and allows you a bit of freedom to clean an area. A bit fiddly to change between wet and dry modes. I'd suppose if you think you are buying a vacuum for under $100 there may be some issues

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Superior Suction - sounds like a lawnmower I needed a quick replacement to my previous (Dyson) vac that blew up, I was going to get another Dyson but needed something that was immediate, I have dark timber floors and need to vacuum daily as every little piece of dirt Shows up & makes the place look very messy. I purchased this with no expectations, but wow was I blown away by just how much suction it has. The wheels glide effortlessly over my floors without scratching them. The only draw back is it’s very noisy, I’ve missed the postman on several occasions as I can’t hear the doorbell when the vac is on...(it’s like a mini lawnmower) Other than the loud noise it’s very impressive and if you want a vacuum that has consistent strong suction, this is definitely a great vacuum at that price.

Is this Vax also capable to pick up pet hair? I have a crook back and cant do too much heavy duty scrubbing like with my current vaccuum.

Hi immie618, Thanks for reaching out, this will pick up loose pet hair but if it is really intertwined with the carpet fiber then you may require a vacuum cleaner with a powered brush on the head to assist in pulling out the pet hair.
