Clearing a blockage
Turn off and allow time to thoroughly cool down
Remove the pad (microfibre or coral)
Remove the floorhead by undoing the screw on the neck of the machine
Remove any blockage from the neck by using a small thin object (such as a paperclip)
Run water through the floorhead to check for any blockages
Remove any blockages by inserting the small thin object into the hole underneath the floorhead
Have you checked the machine for a blockage?
Switch the machine off and unplug from the wall socket
Remove the floorhead by undoing the screw on the neck of the machine
Use a small thin object (such as a paperclip) to clear any blockage from the neck of the machine where the floorhead attaches to
Run water through the floorhead of the machine to check for any blockages that may need to be removed
Clear any blockages by inserting the small thin object into the hole underneath the floorhead
Re-assemble the machine, switch on and hold trigger in for 1 minute (or until steam appears)
No steam?
Go to 'Is the tank fitted correctly?'
Is the tank fitted correctly?
Remove the clean water tank and the hard water filter that sits underneath
Check the filter for discolouration
Discoloured?
Yes?
This will need to be replaced, go to 'Spares' tab above
Check the clean water tank for damage
Damaged?
Yes?
This will need to be replaced, go to 'Spares' tab above
Re-fit the filter and tank and ensure that there are no gaps
Switch the machine on and hold trigger in for 1 minute (or until steam appears)
No steam?
Has the clean water tank run dry?
If the water tank has run dry, the safety thermal cut out to the pump may have been activated
Leave the machine for 2 hours and try the following:
Fill the water tank halfway
Turn the machine on and wait 1 minute for it to heat up
Place your hand over the body of the machine, just below the power light to see if the machine feels warm
Machine warm?
No?
Yes?
Press the trigger and check to see if steam is released
No Steam?
Go to 'Have you checked the machine for a blockage?'
Checking the filter
Remove the clean water tank
Remove the hard water filter
The filter should be a beige/cream colour
An old filter will be discoloured and darkened, this will need to be replaced, go to 'Spares' tab above
Is there steam coming out of the valve on the side of the machine?
If there is an obstruction to the steam flow through the machine, steam may be released through the bleed valve located on the side
Go to 'No Steam - Have you checked the machine for a blockage?'
Is the tank fitted correctly?
Remove the clean water tank and the hard water filter that sits underneath
Half fill the clean water tank
Re-fit the filter and tank ensuring that there are no gaps
Switch the machine on and hold trigger in for 1 minute (or until steam appears)
No improvement?
Is there an unfamiliar smell coming from your machine?
Empty the tank and rinse out thoroughly
Remove hard water filter from the machine
Smell coming from the filter?
Yes?
A replacement filter will be required, go to 'Spares' tab above
No improvement?
Is the floor wetter than expected?
Remove the cloth from the machine and wring out or replace with a dry one
A coral pad will leave the floor drier than a microfibre pad
It is not always necessary to hold the trigger down constantly when using the machine. If you find the floor is getting over wet, try releasing the trigger especially when completing several passes over the same area
